DSJ Class of 2020 achieves 100 per cent matric pass

PARKTOWN – Deputy principal Jan van Wyk said the matric class overcame many challenges to achieve their results.

The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg (DSJ), based in Parktown, was pleased with the results of their 67 matric candidates.

The Class of 2020 achieved a 100 per cent pass rate and 97 per cent Bachelor’s Degree pass.

Of the 67 candidates, they achieved a collective 144 distinctions.

Deputy principal at the school Jan van Wyk said, “We are extremely proud of the results that our learners achieved. Our Class of 2020 overcame many challenges last year and can be proud of the results obtained. We look forward to welcoming them back as alumni in the future.”

Top achiever Julia Gaylard achieved an outstanding 10 distinctions.

Other top achievers included Lola Ross and Naomi Mauser with nine distinctions each; Elizabeth McQuarrie and Jessica Neff with eight distinctions; and Melanie Neff, Martin du Plessis and Daisy Mulryan with seven distinctions.
