Krok also engaged his guests in discussions that were themed around education, business, and mentoring. Emcee for the day, Howard Sackstein facilitated the business discussion between Krok and Ark Consult CEO Ivor Blumenthal.

The discussion focused on the supply chain and innovation in SA and seeking real solutions for the country.

Blumenthal said that micro industries which are suppliers are not getting support (in the form of funds) from big businesses.

He suggested, “The only real solution for this country is if we can become modern-day pirates. If we can hijack the supply chain back from the traditional suppliers around the world and bring it back to SA and start small and get businesses to buy from local manufacturers.”

Krok added his suggestion that “South Africa has to industrialise where the people live. Have factories in the townships. Also, in leadership; avoid nepotism and corruption. Be inclusive of participants from all races.”

The veteran business titan also received goodies from Mems Ramaila and Professor Michael Rudolph from Siyakhana Food Initiative.
