Covid-19 cases in Region E reach 278
SANDTON – Region E includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton.
The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that the number of Covid-19 cases in the City of Johannesburg have risen to 1 079 as of 10 May.
The City recorded an increase of 50 cases with a total of 838 recoveries and 110 unallocated cases.
The northern suburbs of regions B and E remain at the epicentre of the virus outbreak in the city with a combined total of 442 cases.
Region B, which includes Randburg, Rosebank, Emmarentia, Greenside, Melville, Mayfair, Northcliff, Parktown and Parktown North, stands at 164 cases.
Region E, which includes Alexandra, Wynberg, Sandton, Orange Grove and Houghton, stands at 278.
