Cadena SA distributes coronavirus kits ahead of lockdown

Joburg – The organisation has recorded short educational videos in isiZulu and Sesotho on Covid-19 avoidance protocols and has been disseminating them on the various social media platforms.

As South Africans are preparing for the 21-day lockdown that will begin at midnight tonight (26 March), members of the Jewish humanitarian aid organisation, Cadena SA are also hard at work making sure that South Africa’s most vulnerable citizens are safe.

The organisation is distributing coronavirus safety kits after the organisation’s members spent the past week raising funds to carry out this act. The organisation visited the residents of Alexandra and distributed the virus kits on 25 March.

The organisation has also recorded short educational videos in isiZulu and Sesotho on Covid-19 avoidance protocols and has been disseminating them on the various social media platforms.

Director of CadenaSA’s operations, Mendy Grauman said, “We all have to play our role to fight the spread of this virus. Many of our citizens don’t have access to information that will help them curb the spread. That’s why we felt obliged to print pamphlets in people’s home language, giving them the tools to protect themselves and those around them.”
