Executive breakfast hosted at Anglo American on inner-city development
MARSHALLTOWN – Outgoing Joburg Mayor Herman Mashaba delivered the keynote address to investors who have committed billions in rejuvenating the inner city.
An executive breakfast was hosted by the Forum of Integrated Risk Mitigation in association with the Johannesburg Inner-City Partnership at Anglo American head offices in Marshalltown, Johannesburg on 18 November.
The breakfast was attended by outgoing Johannesburg mayor Herman Mashaba, who thanked investors who were in attendance for their contribution and partnership with the City in rebuilding the inner-city.
Mashaba said despite him leaving office on 27 November he was pleased that initiatives such as Building New Jozi would continue beyond his tenure and improve the lives of residents across the city.

During his address, Mashaba thanked the private sector for getting involved, not just for the R32 billion that investors had committed to, but the redevelopment of areas across Joburg.
