BRAAMFONTEIN – Calling all book lovers, the Bumper Book Sale will be held this weekend.

This weekend, 5–6 October book lovers should set aside the weekend for one of Johannesburg’s biggest and most beloved bumper book sales hosted by the Friends of the Johannesburg Public Libraries, in collaboration with the Library and Information Services of the City.

The sale will be held in Braamfontein at the City of Johannesburg’s Library and Information Services offices,  22 Solomon Street, corner Smit Street.

MMC for Community Development, Nonhlanhla Sifumba said, “The sale is widely known for its massive bargains and diverse selection of books, affording everyone the opportunity to find something suitable. On sale will be art, fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, Afrikaans, and Africana. Hundreds of second-hand books will be on sale, all ranging between R10 and R20. There will also be Africana individually priced from R20 to R200.”
