Major burst on the line supplying Linksfield reservoir

Residents of the below areas are advised of a pipe water burst on the mainline feeding the Linksfield reservoir.

Residents are urged to use water sparingly. Areas feeding off the reservoir will start experiencing low water pressure as reservoir levels drop. “The repairs have commenced and we don’t have an estimated time of completion at this stage,” said Ward 74 councillor, David Fisher.
He said he understood that it was frustrating for residents and businesses to have to deal with the impact of outages. “Tankers will be deployed and we are sure that Joburg Water will complete repairs as soon as possible.”
Water tankers can be found at the following points:
Highlands North: BalfourPark
Mountain View: Terrace road and corner Hope road
Savoy: Savoy shopping centre
Linksfield: Linksfield Netcare, Linksfield Square
Gresswold: Linksfield Primary School
Sydenham: Spar, Hoy Park ( corner 12th Avenue and Sheldon Street)
Orange Grove: Corner 12th and Louis Botha (BP garage)
