Local gift shop host young girls to celebrate women’s month
SANDRINGHAM – The décor was absolutely perfect and pretty.
Selwyn Segal’s Gift Shop in Sandringham held an Our Generation Doll Hairstyling event as part of Women’s Month celebrations.
According to the organisers, this was an amazing and exciting day with more than 130 girls participating in this event.
Tzivia Grauman, head of group communications at Chevrah Kadisha, said each girl brought their dolls for a morning of pampering and partying.
“The dolls sat happily on doll-sized hairdressing chairs alongside their small owners while wonderful hairdressers and generous, fun-loving high school volunteers fashioned the girls’ and the dolls’ hair into identical matching styles,” said Grauman.
“Also available for the asking was nail-polishing, make-up, and a fabulous photo booth to capture the beautiful results of all the pampering.”
To add to the party atmosphere, she said a beautifully-displayed array of delicious party treats was available for everyone to help themselves.
At the entrance to the shop, the Corner Café set up chip ‘n dip, ice cream and a coffee bar was available for all to enjoy, added Grauman.
She said the décor was absolutely perfect and pretty and the whole venue was ‘pinkyfied’ with pink balloons, hearts, and draping.
“Some serious shopping took place too as the little ladies picked out outfits and accessories for their dolls,” said Grauman.
Buyers also stood a chance to win magnificent hampers and she said everyone who came had a great time and reviews were joyful and generous.
