UPDATE: Despite reports, eight bodies not found in Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW – Despite various reports regarding bodies found in a backyard, police said no bodies have been found in Mountain View.


Despite reports of eight bodies being found in the backyard of a house, Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele said no bodies have been found in Mountain View near Linksfield today, 29 May.

Captain Makhubele said that he is aware of a domestic dispute in the area which he is attending currently. “I am currently on my way to a house where a domestic dispute has been reported, I will give more information once I have all the details.”

Update 5.30pm:

Captain Kay Makhubele said that the police are investigating a case of domestic abuse. The man of the house has been arrested and will be appearing at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s court tomorrow (30 May).

“The issue of the bodies was an allegation that the wife was throwing around. No bodies were therefore found,” said Captain Makhubela.
