“Lions International Clubs always assist in times of disaster worldwide. Over and above the financial contribution, clothing and food items were also donated.”

The councillor said Lions serve adding that it has been like that since they first began in 1917.

She said their clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities and the world.

According to Rugheimer Lions International continue to extend their helping hand to those who are in need citing the donations to the Knysna fire that happened about a year ago and another fire incident in Alexandra last year as well as shack fires in Tshwane and many others.
