No ‘gray’ areas for St Mary’s learner who scores fellowship

WAVERLEY – One of St Mary's learners has received the prestigious Allan Gray Fellowship.

St Mary’s School, Waverley Class of 2018’s Katleho Matumane has been awarded the prestigious Allan Gray Fellowship.

Matumane achieved six distinctions in her final matriculation examinations for English, Afrikaans, life orientation, mathematics, history and drama and her overall average was 85 per cent.

The fellowship covers full tuition, books, residence and a living allowance for an undergraduate degree at a university in the country. Matumane plans to study chemical engineering at the University of Witwatersrand.

This is the eighth year in a row in which a learner of St Mary’s School, Waverley, has been awarded the Allan Gray Fellowship.
