St Mary’s School, Waverley achieved a 100 per cent pass rate with 423 distinctions scored overall.
The school celebrated some incredible highlights in their exams including a 99 per cent bachelor degree pass rate. The school also saw 47 per cent learners achieve an average mark of 80 per cent, while 70 per cent of matriculants earned a mark of 75 per cent.
The school also saw 21 placements in the top 1 per cent nationally in individual subjects. This included:

The school saw one matriculant, Georgina Coetzer added to the IEB’s Outstanding Achievement list for placing within the top five per cent in six or more subjects and scored at least 80 per cent for life orientation. Georgia McDonald and Georgina Roy were added to the IEB’s Commendable List for placing within the top five per cent of learners in five subjects and scored at least 80 per cent for life orientation.
The top-performing learners with nine distinctions were Alexandra Coetzer, Zaneli Steeneveldt and Samantha Trinder-Smith. The school also had 14 matriculants who achieved an incredible eight distinctions, this included Josephine Bezuidenhoudt, Georgina Coetzer, Katherine Coetzer, Kyra Dale, Shreya Dharmalingam, Emily Dugmore, Maja Gledic, Kirsten Lowery, Katlego Mahlo, Georgia McDonald, Tarya Pillay, Sarah Raubenheimer, Georgina Roy and Kirsten Warburton.
The six matriculants who achieved seven distinctions were Eleanor Aindow, Sophie Patricios, Emma Quiding, Alexandra Shtein, Kaylyn Taljaard and Alexis Tensfeldt.
