Chef Zola Nene invites celebs and their mentors to the set of her new TV show

JOBURG – Celeb Feasts with Zola will be a lively new cooking show with heart as it unveils the behind-the-scenes relationships

Mzansi Magic and Okuhle Media present Celeb Feasts – a new tasteful show with South Africa’s renowned chef that is expected to wow TV audiences in the beginning of 2019.

The show, which is tastefully brought by Consol, is an entertaining new cooking talk show and will be aired weekly on DSTV on Channel 161 from 8 January.

The show is expected to run for 13 weeks and will combine some of South Africa’s most-loved celebrities with mouth-watering South African meals, inspiring stories and, of course, lots of wine and laughs.

It will be hosted by award-winning cookbook author, celebrity TV chef and food stylist, Zola Nene.

The ‘recipe’ for each episode of Celeb Feasts with Zola is an easy one: Take one delectable chef, add one tasty celebrity and their scrumptious mentor, stir in three delicious recipes of their liking to that, scoop in a generous serving of personality and voila, you have a succulent story and a heavenly feast.

Gideon Eksteen, Okuhle Media’s producer, said by the time guests arrive, chef Zola would’ve already prepared the starter, all the while sharing cooking and baking tips and tricks with the viewers.

Eksteen said upon arrival, both the celebrity and mentor are put to work in chef Zola’s kitchen as they chop, peel, stir and share fond memories and moments that have shaped their lives as individuals and, chef Zola discovers more about the bond between the mentee and the mentor.

“By the end of each episode, the three would’ve enjoyed not only delicious food and exquisite wines but, would’ve also created new memories and a veritable feast to tuck into and continue reminiscing that the best moments are indeed enjoyed with glass,” said Eksteen.

“Celeb Feasts with Zola will be a lively new cooking show with heart as it unveils the behind-the-scenes relationships between local celebrities and their real-life heroes who have positively influenced their lives and or careers. Celeb Feasts with Zola not only shows viewers how to prepare quintessential South African cuisine, but the personal stories shared speak to the positive power that strong and leading role models can have on our lives and, the appreciation we should show them.”
