Thembalami host group birthday
LYNDHURST – The Thembalami Care Centre celebrated the last group birthday bash of the year.
The Thembalami Care Centre hosted its last birthday celebration of the year on 14 November.
The event celebrated the birthdays of 19 residents. The youngest celebrant was resident Freddy Buytendag who will be turning 52 on 22 December and the oldest resident Iona Myburgh who will be turning 90 on 14 December.
Linda and Richard Lewis who head up the Yaboos group, an amateur charity group who uses the talents of local singers and dancer to create musical variety shows, ensured that the celebration was a lively affair.
The Yaboos were joined by four singers and three line dancers who brought some life to the festivities while residents enjoyed treats organised by the Iyoni Angels from Inyoni Creek Retirement Village on the same property.
