Thornhill give generous donation to Naledi Awards

LYNDHURST – The Thornhill Manor Probus Club presented a generous cash donation to the Naledi Theatre Awards.

The Thornhill Manor Probus Club handed over a special donation to the Naledi Theatre Awards at their monthly meeting on 16 October.

The club hosted legendary entertainers and founders of the Awards Des and Dawn Lindberg. Spokesperson for the centre Cathy Grosvenor said, “The couple were pleased to be able to share many of their experiences over the past 50 or so years with the 110 people present, most of them were their contemporaries.”

The Lindbergs shared some amusing anecdotes interspersed with songs written especially for the occasion, as well as some older ones that brought some nostalgia.

Grosvenor said, “It was a rousing, fun-filled evening described by many as the best entertainment ever in the manor.”

The Thornhill Manor Probus Club presented the Lindbergs with a donation towards the Naledi Theatre Awards and a further cash donation was raised by passing a collection box around the audience.
