A 24-year-old security guard was arrested for attempted murder at Park Station.
Spokesperson for Johannesburg Central Police Station Captain Xoli Mbele said the incident occurred at 12pm on 10 June when the 26-year-old victim and the security guard had an argument.
Mbele added that the victim was with a friend to buy train tickets when the argument ensued and the security guard shot him several times in the lower body.
The firearm was confiscated, the suspect arrested and charged with attempted murder. Mbele said an investigation is under way and the suspect will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’s Court.
