Ackerman-Berman said, “Today, I’m here wearing two hats. One as a proud and thankful member of the Jewish community, while also being part of the Pick n Pay family, and I would like to commend them on their amazing work during this period.”

Rabbi Goldstein said, “I am very excited to be presenting this award to all of you who led this initiative, and who have made our community’s lives much better.” He added that it’s wonderful to see a company partner with the local community and called it ‘the South African dream’.

Heydenreich added, “Doing good is good business, and it’s important to bring yourself closer to the community that we serve.”
