The Sandringham police are currently investigating a shocking murder and robbery that took place in a complex on Louw Street in Corlett Gardens.
The incident is alleged to have taken place on 18 February when an unknown number of suspects entered a complex. Station commander for the Sandringham police, Colonel Lindani Ndlovu said the police found the victim tied up on his bed.
The body of the deceased was found at 11.45am on 19 February by a work colleague after he didn’t arrive at work. The colleague called the paramedics and the police. The investigation has uncovered that two televisions, a hi-fi system and the victim’s vehicle were stolen.
Ndlovu said that the police are investigating how the suspects gained entry to the complex, which might lead them to the perpetrators.
He added that all residents should remain vigilant to avoid housebreakings and to make sure that all their homes are locked.
