The equipment included soccer balls, cones and reflectors which the company’s director, Hylton Morby-Smith handed over. He said the gesture formed part of the company’s community social investment and they looked forward to working together.

“The plan is to work with the team and hope in future we might be able to do more than what we did today,” said Morby-Smith.

Masisi said the donation came at the time they needed it most. The club has U10, 13, 17 and senior teams which play in the Alexandra Northrand Local Football Association League.

“With this donation of training equipment, we will definitely increase morale and further strengthen our team,” she said.

“It will also improve the technical side to develop our young boys and girls playing in our various divisions of the club.”

The club has no permanent training ground and Masisi urged potential sponsors to support the team with either funds, transport or training facilities.
