Seven armed men rob train guards at Cleveland station

CLEVELAND – Four security guards were on duty when the seven suspects appeared at the train station.

 

Cleveland police are searching for seven suspects who allegedly robbed security guards at Jupiter train station in Cleveland.

According to the police, the incident took place on 12 October at about 8 pm while the security officers were on duty.

Joburg East Police Cluster spokesperson, Captain Richard Munyai, said four security guards were on duty when they were approached by the suspects.

One of the suspects had a firearm and the other six suspects were armed with knives.

“They tied them up and took 16 tarpaulin covers of trains worth R20 000 and left the scene and left the guard still tied up. The suspects are unknown,” said Munyai.

The police are appealing to anyone who might have information about this incident or know the whereabouts of the suspects, to come forward.
