Body found in River Park

RIVER PARK – Body found.

 

Sandringham police are calling on the community to come forward with information following the discovery of a body in River Park on 26 August.

Spokesperson for Sandringham Police Station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said the body of an unknown man, said to be in his 30s, was found by a passerby on the corner of London Road and Radebe Lane at about 6pm.

Mamabolo added that upon further investigation, a bullet wound was found in the chest.

“According to a witness, who was walking by, he saw the body on the ground. He moved towards him to help and called the police. Paramedics were also called and the victim was certified dead on the scene,” said Mamabolo.

Sandringham police are calling on the local community to come forth with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) or any resident who may have a missing relative.
