Hilson Bowling Club wins Johannesburg Bowls Association pennant league

HIGHLANDS NORTH – Hilson Park beat Roosevelt Park Bowling Club in the playoffs to win the pennant final played at the Killarney Bowling Club.

Sheer determination and great bowling spirit ensured that Hilson Park Bowling Club came out victorious when they won the Johannesburg Bowls Association pennant league.

Di Binns, a member of the club, said they wanted to demonstrate to all that they were going strong and would continue to do so for many years. “The club came second in the previous season,” said Binns.

“Through sheer determination and great bowling spirit, we ensured that Hilson Park Bowling Club’s pennant players won the league. Last year, Hilson Park won their section but came second in the playoffs against Lombardy East Bowling Club.”

She thanked Killarney Bowling Club for their generous hospitality.
