Mini substation now repaired
NORWOOD – An update from the article, Electric danger looms...
A mini substation, which posed a danger to the community, as published in Week ending 23 December, has now been attended to.
The mini substation situated on 11th Avenue in Norwood was reported as having a door missing, which exposed live cables which could have caused an electrocution.
Local residents, Linda Camacho and Sheryl Luvibi had complained about it for the past eight years and continuously requested City Power to send someone out to fix it.
Following the article, City Power was contacted about this issue and Noel Maso, general manager for the power utility was notified. The mini substation has now been repaired.
