River Park vehicle theft on the rise

SANDRINGHAM – Sandringham police are calling on River Park residents to work with them and report suspicious activity.

Sandringham Police Station has issued a warning to residents in River Park in light of A recent rise in motor vehicle theft in the area and urged residents to remain vigilant.

Spokesperson for the station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said, “Over the past week there three cars have been stolen. There has been a serious increase in the past two months in motor vehicle theft. So we appeal to the community to remain vigilant and aware.”

Mamabolo added that the police are appealing to the local community to help in apprehending criminals. “If you hear anything happening at night [or the day], please call your nearest police station so we can catch the culprits.”

Residents who notice any suspicious activity or crime incidents should contact the police’s toll-free number or the police station to report the matter.
