Family day and jumble sale at Thembalami
LOMBARDY EAST – Thembalami Care Centre invites general public looking for a bargain...
Friends and family members of Thembalami Care Centre residents, as well as the general public looking for a bargain, are invited to a family day and jumble sale on 29 October.
“These days are held regularly and not only assist us with essential fundraising but give our residents something to look forward to. They love being outside and interacting with visitors,” said Elize Raath, who heads up the Rand Aid care centre which looks after older people in need of 24-hour care.
The event will start at 8am. Good quality second-hand clothing, household items and books will be on sale, and there will be a tea garden, cold drinks and boerewors rolls to enjoy.
People with good, second-hand clothing and household items that they no longer need are asked to consider dropping them off at Thembalami which is situated in Victoria Road, Lombardy East.
