Bramley police nab 25 for various offences in precinct

BRAMLEY – Police nab 25 suspects for crimes within the Bramley precinct.

More than two dozen suspects were arrested by Bramley police for various offences committed within the precinct.

The 25 suspects were arrested for offences ranging from theft and rape to armed robbery and fraud.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, said 15 people were arrested for drunk driving while one was arrested for gambling illegally.

“The police also arrested two suspects for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, one for rape and another for theft,” Maphakela said.

Two more people were arrested for dealing in dagga while one was also arrested for housebreaking and theft. Maphakela also confirmed that the police arrested one person for fraud and another for armed robbery.

“All these people have since been charged with the various offences and have made an appearance in court to face their charges,” he said.
