King David Victory Park hosts record-breaking event

VICTORY PARK – King David school adds a feather to its cap with a world record for sandwich-making.

King David High School Victory Park made history with their recent record-breaking sandwich-making event.

Participants made a whopping 35 000 sandwiches in 60 minutes.

The school, along with participants from the other King David schools, broke the record in Guinness Book of World Records for the most number of sandwiches made in an hour as a way to do give back to the needy and do something memorable at the school.

Nirvana Rogers, campus marketing manager at the Victory Park school expressed pride at the school’s achievement and the valuable contribution made to those in need.

“This is an exciting achievement for our school and the experience of bringing such joy to all those we fed will remain an unforgettable one,” she said.

“The idea was not just to break a world record but to make a difference to others with that act.”

Rogers also expressed gratitude to those who supported the initiative in which about 3 000 participants attended, including parents and corporate sponsors.
