Thornhill Manor celebrates Arbor Day

MODDERFONTEIN - Rand Aid Association retirement village, Thornhill Manor in Modderfontein, planted a yellowwood tree on 4 September to commemorate Arbor Day.

The tree was generously donated by Servest, a corporate landscaping business that has donated trees and assisted in the village’s Arbor Day planting for the past 10 years.

Wendy Hunt, chairperson of the Garden Club of Thornhill Manor, thanked Servest for their donation; and a prayer was said by Thornhill resident, Enid Dixon.

Thornhill Manor takes pride in providing a sense of tranquility and landscaped gardens with beautiful water features for their residents. The manor is set on 18 hectares of land within a fully secured residential village on the historical site of Modderfontein.
