School children in taxi crash
ORANGE GROVE - An accident took place on Louis Botha Avenue in Orange Grove on the morning of 14 August whereby a light delivery vehicle collided with a taxi.
According to Emer-G-Med, their provincial services responded to the report of the accident and upon arrival their paramedics attended to the scene. The taxi had been transporting school children.
Emer-G-Med stated, “A taxi full of school children had been T-boned by a light delivery vehicle, leaving 10 people injured, including 6 children.”
According to response unit, seven passengers sustained moderate injuries and another three sustained minor injuries.
“The patients were stabilised on-scene before being transported to various nearby facilities. JMPD were on scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision,” added Emer-G-Med.
