Superintendent Wayne Minnaar of Metro police said, “A male was arrested on Alexandra Street in Yeoville for the shooting of a Metro officer who was shot and killed in Rosettenville.”
According to Minnaar, police received a tip-off as to where the suspect was. “The suspect was found to be in possession of ammunition,” added Minnaar.
The suspect will face charges of robbery and murder at the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court soon.
