Norwood Young Stars player heads to Poland for second spell

JOHANNESBURG- NORWOOD Young Stars Academy player, Unathi April is set to travel to Warsaw, Poland for a second spell at Wisla Krakow FC.

 

The Polish club is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the country.

April recently came back to South Africa from doing a stint at the club and is happy to be going back. He said, “I am very excited to go back. I believe that I have a future playing in Poland and I am dedicated to making this dream come true.”

According to Norwood Young Stars Academy manager, Venita Masisi, April is one of the most talented players she has had the pleasure of managing. Masisi said, “We are all looking forward to this boy playing abroad. He shows great sportsmanship and is a tactical player. Any side will be lucky to have him.”

Didier Mbendje, coach of the academy said, “It has been a pleasure working with Unathi. I wish him all the best for the future. He is a player that has what it takes to play at such a high level of football.”

April is set to leave South African shores for Poland on 10 June.
