Inyoni Creek residents impress in art classes
LYNDHURST - Lesley Hogg of Creative Image Studios gave a demonstration and inspiring talk to participants of a Rand Aid Association Inyoni Creek art class.
Hogg said, “Absolutely anyone can learn how to paint.”
Debbie Christen, manager of recreational programmes for Rand Aid Association said, “Fast forward to five lessons later, and their progression is clearly visible as they have learnt and applied the various techniques taught to them. But more than that, they are just getting so much pleasure out of creating something beautiful with their own hands.”
Marcel Heintjie who attends the art classes said, “I have always wanted to learn how to paint, it’s wonderful. I’m just sorry that I didn’t start this earlier.”
Another participant, Penny Howie said, “The lessons are great fun and I have met some new friends. I did not expect to produce such great paintings in such a short time.”
Christen added, “To witness this class of seniors become painters is impressive indeed.”
