Elderly couple hijacked, stabbed and dumped in Alex
WAVERLY - An elderly couple in their 80s are in hospital after they were abducted from their local post office, hijacked, robbed and dumped in Alex.
According to the Bedfordview and Edenvale News, an elderly couple in their 80s were abducted from a post office on Saturday and hijacked.
According to the report, two men approached the couple at their vehicle and instructed them to sit in the backseat and then drove them to Alexandra, where they robbed them of money and jewellery.
The man is believed to be in an intensive care unit suffering from stab wounds.
The couple managed to drive to Waverly and get help from security guards. It is believed the man’s wife has also been hospitalised.
