WATCH: Black Coffee sells-out his inaugural block party

Black Coffee curated a line-up of South Africa’s most talented performers to stage at the first “Black Cofee” block party.

The impressive line-up included live performances by Mizz, Diloxclusiv, Kenzhero, DJ Dimplez, Da Capo, DJ Tira, SPHEctacula and DJ Naves, with Victor Malaza as the nights MC.

Headlining the event were Metro FM’s very own Glen Lewis, the ever always charismatic DJ Fresh and hip-hop’s golden boy Cassper Nyovest.

Despite the temperamental weather fans flocked to the venue in thousands to catch their favourite local artist live.

Although the venue sold-out and was packed to capacity, hundreds of eager fans queued up around the Mary Fitzgerald Square, until the concert ended. Black Coffee created an unforgettable experience for the fans, drawing them into each and every track he played on the night.

He grabbed the audience’s undivided attention with seamless mixing, an array of original tracks and genius collaborative live vocals from the likes of Monique Bingham, Cara Frew, Lungie Naidoo and Azola.

Black Coffee’s performance culminated at midnight with the performance of his immensely successful album single, We Dance Again as talented South African vocalist Nakhane Touré suddenly appeared on the platform above the DJ box.

Thrilled fans completely disregarded the bad weather as the entire audience sang and danced in unison to the defining track of 2015 proving once more that music ignites and unites South Africans.
