CPF encourages neighbour to know one another

Norwood Community Policing Forum has reiterated the need for residents to have a neighbourhood watch in place.

Speaking to North Eastern Tribune, committee member Debi Cox said it was important for residents to know their neighbours. She said, “You may never know when you will need help, hence we encourage people to know who lives next door to your house.”

Cox said her organisation also encouraged members of the community to work with the police.

She said to realise this, her organisation meets with the police every last Wednesday of the month. “It is during these meetings that we invite members of the public to attend and also give them the opportunity to ask questions they may have,” she explained.

The forum will host its AGM on 25 June. The meeting will be held at Norwood Primary School.
