According to police, the 53-year-old man said he was renovating his wall with the help of friend, when his neighbour came out of her house and for no reason started insulting them.
The woman, who was armed with a bottle, allegedly smashed it to the ground and took a piece of glass, threatening to stab the complainant. He fled but his attacker managed to scratch the back of one of his ears. The complainant insisted that he did not know what angered his neighbour to want to stab him.
The woman has been arrested and is due to appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court for a charge of common assault.
