Vehicle stolen in Sydenham

Police are searching for a vehicle that was allegedly stolen in Sydenham on 15 January.

Norwood police spokesperson Constable Nonzwakazi Tsoanyane said the vehicle was parked outside a house on Roslin Street.

The owner was installing a toilet system in a house when he asked his colleague to fetch tools from the vehicle, which he did. “However, just 20 minutes later when the colleague was asked to fetch something else from the vehicle, it was gone,” said Tsoanyane.

The vehicle was allegedly fitted with a tracking device but has not been recovered yet, and no arrests have been made. Tsoanyane said the vehicle was valued at R190 000. She appealed to members of the public who may have any information to come forward.
