Bramley police need volunteers

BRAMLEY - Police are seeking volunteers to assist them in their quest to provide safer communities.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said they needed volunteers for their youth desk, victim support service and street patrolling.

Community members interested in joining the youth desk that deals with issues affecting young people would need to be between the ages of 14 and 35 years. This includes high school and university pupils.

Those interested in joining the victim support service need to be 25 years or older. Street patrollers are also required to help maintain a safe environment and need to be 21 years or older.

Maphakela said community members who were interested in volunteering their services should contact the Bramley police head of social crime.
