Nasty C named musician of the year
JOBURG – Nasty C goes beyond the raps as he takes home GQ’s Musician of the Year award.
Nasty C took home the prestigious award for Musician of the Year at the 2019 GQ Men of the Year Awards.
The GQ Men of the Year Awards ceremony recognizes the men and women who shape South Africa’s cultural landscape – celebrating the most intelligent, inspirational and talented people of the year. This year is also a special one for GQ South Africa, as the December issue marks 20 years since their launch edition in December 1999. Nasty C also graces one of three GQ covers that dropped this week.
“I’d like to thank GQ for recognizing me, it really means a lot. I salute you. And a special thanks to my teams at Africa Creative Agency, Universal Music, and Tall Racks for their support and hard work,” said Nasty C.
The young rapper continues to prove that the sky is not the limit and hard work never goes unnoticed. Just last week the rapper won two AFRIMA Awards for Best Rapper/Lyricist and Best Collaboration with Rolwlene for SMA, which is currently 5x Platinum.
