Skroofman and Ntsiki Mazwai take a stand against women abuse in latest single

JOBURG – Artists to tour SA communities in a bid to raise awareness on domestic abuse.

Skroofman has released the highly awaited music video for Impilo which takes a stand against women abuse in society.

Impilo features Ntsiki Mazwai and encourages women to speak out against abuse and expose the perpetrators. The poetry in the song speaks about seeing the light despite the darkness. It is a call to all victims and survivors to choose life.

“It is important for women to be able to have a platform to speak about their experiences. It pains me as a man to see my sisters suffer like this. I decided to make this song and invite Ntsiki Mazwai to feature because I knew her voice stands for so many women,” said Skroofman.

The single has already been play listed on various key national radio stations throughout the country. The two artists have also founded #KhulumaGalAgainstRape, an initiative that will see the two artists tour schools and communities around the country raising awareness.

Skroofman is creating a different element to what tradition knows and understands about the Kwaito genre and is challenging the traditional format and incorporating acoustic and electro beats, this allows him to make and produce music that blends into a vibrant tapestry.
