Yanga Sobetwa releases highly awaited debut album
JOBURG – South African Idols season 14 winner Yanga Sobetwa’s debut album hits the shelves.
Released on 10 May, Promised Land is South African Idols season 14 winner Yanga Sobetwa’s debut album. The 10-track project has been receiving positive reviews from fans and critics and sees the young songstress fuse gospel, urban pop and afro sounds.

“I love you all very much, this is my thank you to all those who voted for me on Idols and those who have jumped into the boat to support me,” Sobetwa said.
Her second single, Promised Land, has received massive love on national radio stations and features Grammy Award-Winning Soweto Gospel Choir and multi-platinum selling Amanda Black.

Joining the strong guest features on the album is Sama-nominated Paxton, and a bonus track written by multi-platinum Afro-pop star Nathi Mankayi and performed with Yanga.
