Sars digital and IT chief officer, Mmamathe Makhekhe-Mokhuane has gone viral following a not-so-flattering interview with SABC’s Sakina Kamwendo.
In the interview, the Sars IT boss seems to exhibit little to no knowledge about the problems faced by Sars e-filing system and IT restructuring – instead she talks about bursary programmes and insourcing cleaners.
The highlight of the messy 14-minute-long interview was Makhekhe-Mokhuane asking Kamwendo for ‘protection from yourself’.
At the same time, Makhekhe-Mokhuane’s testimonial at the Nugent Commission of Inquiry was vague and unclear and resulted in a heated argument between her and Judge Robert Nugent.
When asked about comments she made about Sars personnel she responded about a Drakensberg Boys Choir.
