21 September: Ildo Nandja ft. Sphelelo Mazibuko and Bokani Dyer at The Orbit

Hailing from Maputo and a steady fixture on the Durban jazz scene, Ildo Nandja’s performance at The Orbit will showcase some of the brand-new material he has been working on while on his European circuit. His performance will feature Sphelelo Mazibuko on drums and Bokani Dyer on piano. Be sure to check out Ildo Nandja ft. Sphelelo Mazibuko and Bokani Dyer at The Orbit on 21 September. 22 September: Cirque Infernal

From 6 September to 23 September, Cirque Infernal explodes onto the Mandela Stage at the Joburg Theatre. Created by Danny Varanne, Cirque Infernal offers non-stop captivating entertainment with astonishing and death-defying acts with some of the world’s top circus performers. 23 September: DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival

Although a bit far from the City, the whole of Joburg will be flocking to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit for the highly anticipated festival. The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival, – the music festival for food lovers and the food festival for music lovers – returns for its fifth year in Johannesburg. The two-day fest’s musical line-up includes  Erykah Badu, Jordan Rakei, funk DJ collective, Jazzanova and British acid jazz band, D’Influence and many more.

24 September: FNB Joburg 10K Cityrun

Hosted by Zonkizizwe Athletics Club, the FNB Joburg 1K Cityrun is a race for anyone who wants to run 10km and explore Joburg’s inner city on Heritage Day. 24 September: Johannesburg Natural Hair Expo

Celebrating natural hair on Heritage Day, 24 September is the Johannesburg Natural Hair Expo 2018. The expo will be celebrating all things natural with natural hair product exhibitions from across the continent, unique African products will be sold as well alongside great music, entertainment, and food.
