Date added to Nicki Minaj tour

JOBURG - Due to the unprecedented demand for Nicki Minaj tickets, the promoters of the American rap sensation’s upcoming South African tour have announced that another date has been added to the Joburg leg of the tour.

Minaj’s Pinkprint Tour will now invade the Ticketpro Dome on 17 and 18 March. The tour, which was previously set to take place over three days only, is now a four-date tour and fans are ecstatic.

Loved for her smash hits including Anaconda and Only, the controversial superstar has made many headlines with her gaudy outfits and explicit lyrics, and now she’s making headlines in South Africa for the additional date added to her tour.

David Airey of tour promoter, Airey Scott Entertainment commented excitedly on the added date. “We have been blown away by South Africa’s response to Nicki Minaj’s upcoming tour, proving that she is unquestionably one of the world’s hottest live entertainment acts at the moment,” Airey said.

“Tickets have literally been flying out and we are thrilled that we could persuade her management to add an extra concert to accommodate the massive demand for tickets.”

The Grammy-nominated superstar is touring in support of her critically-acclaimed third album, The Pinkprint, which topped the Billboard 200 and Billboard Top Rnb and Hip-Hop Albums.

After the disappointment of the cancellation of the Tribe One Festival in 2014, during which Minaj was set to perform in South Africa for the first time, fans will finally get the chance to experience the hip-hop sensation live in the country.
