ALEXANDRA - Prominent musician Dr Malinga aka Doctor Goodwill Malinga recently teamed up with Alex FM in a jaunt that took him to various spots to savour the feel of Alex, thank the public for supporting him and to expose the public to some of his noble work.

A man of immense musical talent famed for his kick dancing antics, Dr Malinga established the Dr Malinga Foundation through which he pays back society for his indebted fame. This, he said, was through bursaries to needy children and he urged those in need of educational support to engage his foundation on its website, drmalinga.
Nkiyase Mondlana of Alex FM said Dr Malinga’s visit was part of the station’s social responsibility to promote the township and its heritage. “We will regularly host prominent people and leaders to share experiences and skills to motivate the youths, rub off their experiences on to struggling entrepreneurs, and encourage families in despair not to succumb to their challenges. There is support out there for them to tap into,” Mondlana said.
Dr Malinga also used the opportunity to inform his fans of his solo venture in the industry through his new Linga Entertainment label. “It won’t be smooth sailing but I aim for success, and the springboard for it has been laid through a stable of established and upcoming artists including Royal Sauve, Josta and Mr Style,” he said.
Dr Malinga has been nominated for the Metro FM Song of the Year Awards through a collaboration with DJ Shemza titled Akulalwa.
