The Box turns three
JOBURG - The Box at P.O.P Art in Maboneng celebrated its third anniversary with a full house.
The Box is P.O.P Art’s weekly stand-up comedy gig and has become a Sunday staple for lovers of ‘the funny’ from around Joburg.
This year the anniversary was celebrated with Goliath and Goliath with members Donovan, Jason and Nicholas Goliath, the comedy group that brings the funny wherever they go, but are most commonly found on a Sunday.
Also in the birthday line-up was Richelieu Beaunoir; Eugene Khoza, the Nedbank guy; Gilli Apter and the sensational beat-maker, Morgan Beatbox.
Since the initiation of the weekly stand-up comedy showcase, the show has risen to great success. It boasts a line-up of hilarious up-and-coming comedians, in addition to the household names such as Kagiso Lediga and Chris Forrest.
As usual, an amazing time was had by all who attended, with newbies promising to return to The Box for more hilarious comedy.
