Get ready for the Serbian National Fair

SUNNINGHILL – If you have ever wondered about the rich culture of Serbia, wonder no more because Kolo, of the Serbian Sisters, or Kosovka Devojka, as they are known in their native Serbian language, will be hosting the Serbian National Fair on 2 August.

South Africans are invited to experience a taste of Serbian culture at the Serbian Orthodox Church at 4 Tana Road, Sunninghill, and the fair promises to be a fun-filled family day.

There will be stalls selling traditional Serbian food, goods and delicacies, and there will also be ample entertainment for children.

“While children jump on the jumping castle or play on the playground, parents can sit back and enjoy the wonderful folk dancing and music,” said Kosovka Devojka representative, Rozalija Radlovic. “Bring your families and come spend the day with us while enjoying the warm august sunshine.”

Entrance to the fair will be free and Radlovic is confident they will have something to entertain everyone. It will begin at 10am and end at 3pm.

“Whether you are Serbian, Russian, Bulgarian or South African, we hope to see you there,” Radlovic concluded.

Details: 011 787 5227.
