Bye Beneco’s hypnotic, dreamy sound

Gypsy folk musicians Bye Beneco welcomed listeners to their first album launch, Space Elephant.

The event was hosted at the World of Yamaha Theatre, and according to Tania Anderson, a representative of Bye Beneco’s record label, Just Music, the launch was “an enormous success”.

The band presented tracks off their new album, showcasing a variety of blues, folk and ambient sounds in their songs. With an etheral mood featuring fairy lights surrounding the stage and flowers on their instruments, Bye Beneco introduced their novel sound to a diverse audience.

“The band was well-rehearsed and played exceptionally well. The stage design, lighting and projection looked great,” said Anderson.

“The event was really well organised and it was, as always, a good show at The World Of Yamaha Theatre,” she added.

According to Anderson, the band felt that the launch went extremely well and that the music was well received, thanks to the “outstanding sound and sound design” at the World of Yamaha Theatre.

When asked about a future tour in the works, Anderson said, “There is talk of a Cape Town tour at the end of July. The details will be released soon. They have been receiving positive feedback since their launch and plan to share their music in new cities as the year progresses.”
