The Ridge boys raise R10 000 for Princess Alice Adoption Home

WESTCLIFF – Learners raised R10 000 for the Princess Alice Adoption Home, which is also located in the Westcliff area.

Several boys from The Ridge School in Westcliff raised a whopping R1 427 by selling fresh herbs, popcorn and other treats to Grade 1s and 2s from a temporary Ridge Tuck Shop.

The money raised, together with R8 573 raised from the 2019 Term 3 Task Money initiative, was donated to the Princess Alice Adoption Home.

Each term, the junior prep selects a worthy cause and boys are encouraged to help out at home to raise pocket money, which they can donate towards chosen charities.

Task Money is a programme aimed at creating awareness of charities and their worthy causes as well as promoting a habit within learners of giving to uplift those less fortunate.
