Parktown crash leaves father and son dead
PARKTOWN – The crash involved two vehicles as well as a bus and a motorcycle, leaving two people dead.
A horrific scene on Empire Road in Parktown earlier this morning (10 September) of a crash involving a Rea Vaya bus, a motorcycle and two vehicles, has left two people dead.
Metro police spokesperson Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said, “The father and his 10-year-old son were on a motorcycle when the accident occurred with the Rea Vaya bus. The cause of the accident will be investigated.”
Minnaar added two people were injured in a separate vehicle, no passengers in the bus were injured. Local authorities were on the scene to conduct further investigations. Motorists have been urged to use alternative routes.
